AISI 310S stainless steel strip
The most highly alloyed of the series: maximum resistance to hot oxidation.

Description
AISI 310S (EN 1.4845, X8CrNi25-21) is one of the best-performing austenitic stainless steels at high temperature, with about 25% chromium and 20% nickel. It offers excellent oxidation resistance, as a guide up to around 1100 °C in air, good resistance to carburisation and a stable austenitic structure even after long exposure to heat. It is used for furnace parts, heat-treatment belts and meshes, supports, radiant shields, burner components and fuel cells. 3S supplies AISI 310S precision strip in the annealed condition, as strip, narrow strips from 3 mm, spools and sheets in thicknesses from 0.05 to 0.70 mm.
Properties
- Oxidation resistance up to approx. 1100 °C
- Stable austenitic structure at high temperatures
- Good resistance to thermal cycling
- Supplied annealed, weldable and formable
