Alloy 800 strip (800/800H/800HT)
Iron-nickel-chromium alloy for high-temperature oxidation and carburisation.

Description
Alloy 800 (EN 1.4876, X10NiCrAlTi32-21, UNS N08800) is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with around 32% nickel and 21% chromium, with additions of aluminium and titanium. It resists oxidation, carburisation and nitriding at high temperature and keeps a stable austenitic structure even after long exposure to heat. The 800H (1.4958) and 800HT (1.4959) versions, with controlled carbon and grain size, offer better creep resistance. It is used for furnaces and heat treatment, electric heating elements and sheaths, petrochemicals, heat exchangers and high-temperature components. 3S supplies Alloy 800 precision strip in the annealed condition, as strip, narrow strips and spools from 0.05 to 0.70 mm.
Properties
- Resistance to oxidation and carburisation at high temperature
- Austenitic structure stable over time
- 800H/800HT: better creep resistance
- Good formability and weldability
