AISI 304PS stainless steel strip
304 variant with higher elongation, suited to stamping.

Description
AISI 304PS is a variant of AISI 304 (based on EN 1.4301) optimised for stamping and deep drawing. Thanks to a chemistry balanced towards greater austenite stability and a controlled annealing cycle, it offers higher elongation and a lower work-hardening tendency than standard 304. The result is fewer cracks, less springback and more consistent parts, even in severe draws. It is the right choice for shells, cups, caps, appliance components and parts formed in several stages. 3S supplies 304PS in the annealed 2R/BA condition with a bright surface, as strip, narrow strips from 3 mm, spools and sheets from 0.05 to 0.70 mm.
Properties
- Higher elongation than standard 304
- Lower work-hardening during deep drawing
- Fewer rejects and cracks in deep-drawn parts
- Supplied annealed 2R/BA with a bright surface
