Stainless steel strip for heating elements
Heating elements, sheaths and supports for heat.
Heating elements
Stainless strip is used for sheaths, fins, supports and foils in heating elements, where oxidation resistance and stability at high temperature are needed.
Sheaths, fins and supports in heating elements operate for thousands of hours at high temperature: uneven thickness creates hot spots where oxidation and distortion concentrate. That is why 3S supplies stainless strip in heat-resistant grades such as AISI 309 and 321, as well as standard austenitic grades, with consistent thicknesses from 0.05 to 0.70 mm (annealed) and up to 2.50 mm (work-hardened) and EN or ASTM tolerances verified at 100%. Uniform slit or deburred edges make fin forming and winding onto supports easier. The 2R/BA finish provides a clean surface. Strip is available on spools for automated lines, in cut lengths and as sheets.
