Heat exchangers
In plate and brazed plate heat exchangers the strip is pressed into corrugated plates that separate the fluids. It is also used for fins and louvres. Uniform thickness and corrosion resistance are what matter.
Heat exchanger plates are pressed with deep corrugations: uneven thickness causes local thinning, splits during pressing or weak areas under pressure. Brazed exchangers also need a clean, uniform surface so the filler metal wets the plates properly. 3S supplies strip and sheets in AISI 316L and 304L with thin, uniform gauges, EN or ASTM tolerances and 100% dimensional control. The bright annealed 2R/BA finish combines drawability with a clean surface. Widths up to 1250 mm suit large plates, and narrow strip from 3 mm suits fins and louvres. A 3.1 certificate is available on request.
