Battery contacts

Contact springs, tabs and plates that connect the cells and carry current in battery compartments and battery packs. Elasticity, corrosion resistance and dimensional stability are required.

Contact springs and tabs must deliver a steady force over time and connect reliably to the cells, often by resistance or laser welding. In both cases uniform thickness and a clean surface are decisive for repeatable joints. 3S supplies work-hardened 2H stainless strip for contact springs and 2R/BA strip for tabs, in thin gauges and widths from 3 mm, with EN or ASTM tolerances and 100% dimensional control. Every batch is traceable and, on request, accompanied by a 3.1 certificate. Spools with parallel or traverse winding feed automated stamping lines directly.

Frequently asked questions

Request a quote
Is your strip suitable for resistance or laser welding?
Stainless steel welds well with both processes; consistent thickness and a clean surface, such as the 2R/BA finish, help achieve repeatable joints. Parameters should still be validated on your own line.
How is material traceability ensured?
Every spool or cut length is identified with its source batch. On request we provide an EN 10204 3.1 certificate with chemical analysis and mechanical properties.
